Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
I imagined Inoue Sato of the Lost Symbol to be that small Asian woman from the Incredibles.
Laugh. It’s supposed to be funny.

I’ve just finished the last few pages of The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown this afternoon.

The book centers on the secrets of Masons and apotheosis. I’ve been so intrigued by Freemasons because of so many reasons: some relatives being a part of the brotherhood, and Jose Rizal, my favorite hero, was a master mason*—— hey, anything more than 1 is many. Haha!
The book makes you think—- hard. It’s so difficult to figure out what’s fact and what is not. Dan Brown really knows how to engage with his audience.
The book’s POV is third person. I’ve never been really a fan of that POV, having read almost every book in the first person’s POV, but this book was definitely an exception.
I think I’m in the transition stage—- from chick-lit to deeper novels. I just found myself searching the racks, not in the teen novels one but in the mystery/ thriller section.
This is, by far, the best book I’ve read. I’d love to tell you more but I’m afraid I might spoil it.
Those of you, who are afraid to read these kinds of stuff, just keep an open mind.
*the tallest shrine of Rizal, built in Nueva Vizcaya (my mom’s hometown), is said to be built by a Jordanian mason.
